San Miguel de Salinas in brief...It is on the Costa Blanca, 6kms inland from Torrevieja. It is roughly 45 mins from Alicante airport, and 30 mins from Murcia, both served by the AP 7 Motorway. Surrounded by an agricultural area, with many groves of citrus fruits and almonds. It is close to the salt lakes - Las Salinas, with a wealth of wildlife to be found in the natural parks surrounding these lakes. The town has many bars and restaurants, local shops and small supermarkets and a weekly Wednesday Street Market. There are 5 superb golf courses within easy driving distance, including Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. The beautiful beaches of the Costa Blanca are within easy distance, and there are beaches to suit all tastes. Alicante, Murcia and Torrevieja have excellent shopping, museums and cultural events, as well as a wide variety of night life. A car is recommended to obtain full benefit of the area. |
