- Cheryl has recently moved to Torrestrella and one of
her cats has gone missing. It is out of character for
her to go out of the garden. She is desperate to find
her and has spent many hours searching the streets and
campo for her.
Cheryl has put posters up everywhere and if you have
any information please call Cheryl on 663 968 126
We have had a number

yet another page to provide information that might be useful
for Pet Owners + a place for exchanges of information
and advice + information about our Pet Shops and Vets
Patrick and James are both students at C.P. Gloria Fuertes)
and are both keen bird-watchers. They have recently made a website together, about the wildlife (especially birdlife) that they have seen in San Miguel de Salinas, together with their environmental concerns.
Visit their
website, tell them about your sightings. The Eagle
featured is The Spanish Imperial; we have a place in
SMdS called 'Eagles Nest' - why?

Town News
The San Miguel Cage Bird Club was formed
in August 2008 by Ian Forbes and Matthew Hoare. Between them they have over 60 years of bird keeping experience and were both members of local cage bird clubs back in England. There are mainly only Spanish Bird Clubs in the area, so they felt there could be a place for an expat club. As a result, San Miguel Cage Bird Club was formed. Since its formation through word of mouth and thanks to an article in ¨Cage and Aviary Birds¨ magazine in England, the club now has ten members who keep a variety of birds from a couple of budgerigars to a stud of exhibition canaries and they are looking for more. The club promotes the breeding and showing of all types of birds and meets on the first Monday of every month at 7pm at Chimes Bar in San Miguel. During the show season the club will also be organising trips to the local shows.
For further information call Matthew Hoare on 966780336 or Ian Forbes on 966723235.

October 2008 - If you are lucky enough to have pools make sure Ferdinand and his mates, who seem to be only ones using
them at the moment, don't get too tired and drown...
This was one of five ranas verdes that needed
re-direction back to the undergrowth! If we didn't have
frogs what would the snakes eat?
