Designed by Carmelo Gracia this panoramic 18- hole - par 72 course opened in 1989. Expansive fairways with excellent greens,
the course is rolling rather than hilly, and the length will
appeal to big-hitters, who can try and reach two very
short par 4s (the 11th and 13th) from the tee and pick
up points on the par 5s. The greens are good but have a few bunkers, and the
opportunities are there to card a good score.
A further nine holes are currently under construction. Take time to enjoy the
beautiful Club House and excellent restaurant, which overlook the course and
offer four-star facilities. Open 0830 - 2000.

La Finca golf course is situated at the foot of Mount Escotera, in the municipality of Algorfa,
right in the heart of the Vega Baja - Segura region. Designed to host top tournaments, La Finca golf course has
the greatest variety of greens of any course on the Costa Blanca, ranging in
size from very large to very small. The course has the added benefit of a
reserve hole, which can be used in the unexpected event of one of the holes
being closed, enabling players still able to complete a full 18-hole round.
Several lakes with running water and reed beds along the course add beauty and
difficulty to the game, and have made the course the home of a wide variety of
migratory water birds, such as ducks and egrets, while the interior of the
course is home to olive and palm trees. It all creates a beautiful backdrop of
vegetation with that distinctly Mediterranean flavour.

Villamartin was built in 1972 and is well worth going out of your way for. While not a terribly long course, the
layout has personality and has been cleverly adapted to the terrain thanks to
Paul Putman's keen imagination.
A number of short par 4s are fun to play, and the water is only really in play on three
holes (especially the 9th). High-handicappers, who tend not to like water, can
preferably admire the trees, which although rarely in play, are very much a part
of the course.
The greens are large, rolling and pitch well, even from slightly misfit shots. This is a
most versatile and generally well-prepared course, easy to play with the family
or with players of all different levels.
Open 0830 - 2100. |

Designed by Jose Gancedo and opened in 1991
Las Ramblas Golf Course is also owned by The Villamartin Management, but it
offers a very different golfing experience. It is 1km
from Campoamor, and the holes are designed so that in
most cases you have to hit over ravines. Remember to
bring a lot of golf balls for this course! The
majority of people who play this course really enjoy the
challenging experience and want to play it again and
again. The Clubhouse facilities are smaller than any
other courses, but the setting and friendly atmosphere
are second to none and the outside terrace overlooks the
18th green. |

Designed by Justo Quesada this course was opened in 1989 and nestles
between two mountains. The course is mainly flat with wide fairways cut with
canals, lakes and other obstacles. The most difficult factor lies in the characteristic
layout of the greens, with their attractive and complicated slopes. Designed for elite competition,
the 18 hole course is divided into three sections, with water coming into play on the 4th,
9th and 17th holes. There's an opportunity for a birdie on the 6th (par 5).
La Marquesa has a separate practice range measuring 300m by 100m and The Club House is
located in the centre of the golf course. It has a coffee bar, pro-shop and
restaurant with a splendid terrace for viewing play on the course. |
